Hey guys!! 

I am so happy you guys are all having such a great summer! I loved all the pictures you sent and all the funny stories. you guys are amazing! Sorry I don't have much time today we are heading of to the zoo in Lisboa in about 20 minutes. 

This week was amazing! I was looking through some of the notes I have written in my study Journal over the past year (I´m still in shock about that haha) And I was amazed at the progress I have made. It has been an amazing year. I have grown so much closer to my Savior. I love in the Book of Mormon in Jacob 4:12 it says, ´´And now, beloved, marvel not that I tell you these things; for why not speak of the atonement of Christ, and attain to a perfect knowledge of him...´´. I love this scripture. It is literally says that we can come to a perfect knowledge of our Savior and Jacob speaks about this after explaining the importance of Prophets and their words. Or in other words The Book of Mormon Conference Talks. We really can come to know our Savior. Not just know about him but KNOW him. And over this year I feel like I have come to know him so much more. 

One of the most powerful experiences of my mission happened Saturday morning. We have been working with a a less active member who is smoking she had explained her desire to stop. She has been returning to church and helping us with lessons. Well when we left the house Saturday morning we ran into to her and she had a box of cigarettes. I asked her what her goal was to stop smoking and she said, ´´I am doing good Sister, I bought this box yesterday and look i only smoked one.´´ I said, ´´No you just bought that box and already smoked one this morning.´´ She said that was true. And then we testified that that cigarette can be the last that she smokes for the rest of her life, if she relies on the Lord.

We went to her house invited her to pray and ask the Lord if that was his will. We left and ran back to our get some things from our house like A fan and mint gum to help get the smell out of her house. We were a site to see running around like that with a big fan haha. When we came back she had her scriptures opened on her lap and she said I found my answer this is what she read in Doctrine and Covenants 11: 14, 28 and 30, ´´And then shall ye know, or by this shall you know, all things whatsoever you desire of me, which are pertaining unto things of righteousness, in faith believing in me that you shall receive. Behold I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I am the life and the light of the World.

 But verily, verily, I say unto you, that as many as receive me, to them will I give power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on my name. Amen.´´

Isn't that amazing! She said that she knows that she can stop smoking in that moment because that was a worthy desire of her heart and God as there to strengthen her. 

I am so thankful for our Loving Heavenly Father who truly answers our prayers. I love you all so much!!
